Is It Effective In Treatment Of Scars?
Plasmalite is effectively used to improve operation scars, stretch marks, tattoo, burnt scars and marks (see the photos).
How Many Treatments Are Needed?
The number of treatments required varies depending on the indication. Aged or sun-damage skin requires 2-5 subsequent treatments depending on the type of the lesion. Treatment schedule is typically an initial treatment followed by 2 - 4 treatment sessions each minimum 3 weeks apart. Tattoo, acne, scars, vascular and pigmented lesions normally requires between 1-6 treatments, depending on which affliction and its severity.
How Long Does A Typical Session Take?
The wave-guide covers an area of skin measuring approximately 10 mm x 20 mm. Each pulse occurs every 2-3 seconds. A full-face treatment takes less than 20-25 minutes.
Who can be treated?
Subjects with any skin type, either gender, any age, who have aged or sun damaged skin from white to black. Also vascular and pigmented lesions, acne and tattoos can be successfully treated.
What Does The Treatment Involve?
When the client comes for a skin rejuvenation treatment it is preferred to treat the whole face and not only some selected lesions, because the overall treatment provides a better result for all individual lesions. A trained medical professional will discuss how Plasmalite works and evaluate if it is suitable for the client.
A test patch will be performed to observe its effect on the client.
A thin layer of topical contact gel is spread over the area to be treated. The wave-guide is then applied over the area and a series of short light flashes are passed over each 10x20 mm spot.
The patient might not always see an immediate difference. However within 2-3 weeks after each treatment most subjects see a drastic improvement. Pigmented and vascular lesions as well as tattoos respond very fast to the treatment. That is also the case with “non invasive facelift” utilising collagen shrinking as a result of selective heating. The impressive effect for collagen stimulation will be seen 2-3 months after last session
How Does It Feel? Are There Any Side Effects?
Most people experience moderate discomfort with skin rejuvenation compared with the hair removal. In most cases there is no need for a topical anaesthesia, but it could be used. Reddening and swelling of the skin are ordinary but harmless side effects that disappear in 15-30 hours. The skin can be felt tightened for 1-2 days. In extreme cases slight blistering may occur, which heals normally within a few days.
